Take Back Your Existence or Die Like a Punk!

July 18, 2020

Have you ever felt sick and tired of being sick and tired? Sometimes I think back to my early twenties and I can remember the excruciatingly painful reality that I used to live in. The hair pulling panic of scrambling to pay the bills, the gut-wrenching anxiety of not knowing where my next meal was coming from, living upside down in fear, and fighting tooth and nail just to survive so that I could experience some basic level of relief. I was exhausted and embarrassed. My relationships were in turmoil, my life was a mess, and I felt trapped. The feeling was so unbearable that I flat out got to a point where I just couldn’t take it anymore. It was at that critical juncture in my life where I finally said to myself in exasperation, “There Has To Be A Better Way!!!”

Like it is for many people that “better way” didn’t come easily, and at first I didn’t even know where to look. What I did know was that I was never going to tolerate the idea of ending up in old age as someone who was burnt out, frustrated, and miserably still working to pay student loans debts, a mortgage, and credit card bills. I didn’t want to die like a punk.

You should have seen me when things began to change. I looked like a cross between a bearded caveman, a goofy street bum, and an underpaid and overworked grease-covered auto mechanic. Yuck! Luckily, the one thing that I did have going for me was an Open Mind.

Fortunately, the universe heard my exclamations, and slowly unique opportunities began to trickle my way. In response to a dinky little newspaper ad I clipped out, I was hurtled into a whole new world that started to change my life. Through the community of entrepreneurs I was introduced to, I started to learn about the fascinating concepts of no money down real estate investing, business ownership, advanced tax strategies, and building a cash flow matrix. These new ideas were a revelation, and bit by bit I started to think like the wealthy think. More importantly, I started doing it.

Then- POW, WHIZ- KAZZAM!!! I closed my very first real estate deal. Slam dunk! Even better yet was that the money I made from it was more money than I expected to make in a whole year turning wrenches! I quit my job, cleaned my hands of oil for good, and the rest is history. I haven’t looked back since.

Fast forward a decade later, and you will see that hard work and dedication has paid off. Whereas many people continue to live life by default, I chose to design an incredibly rich life by accumulating assets, implementing tax and banking strategies, developing cash flowing businesses, and most importantly giving back to others. Instead of dumpster diving for dinner, I can now experience the immense joy of taking 20 people out to dinner on a whim. Instead of riding a borrowed bike to get to work, I drive one of my dream cars wherever I want to. Instead of being stuck in Salt Lake City Utah, I have traveled all over the world, and I have the time freedom to enjoy being with my family. Life is good, I feel happy, and I can verifiably say I have gone from surviving to thriving.

I’ll never forget what it was like to be hungry. From that life lesson, I’ve learned to never settle no matter what the circumstance, to always stay hungry, and to learn how to feed others. It has become my deepest joy to help thousands of other people turn their lives around so that they can experience what I have been able to experience. Freedom is one of those intangible sensations that can only be known through the experience of it, and we are all so capable of enjoying it as long as we work hard and keep an open mind. So why not live a great life, why not be able to create your dreams, why not invite others to come along with you? And maybe be so bold to consider what it would be like to grow old and say it was a life worth living, to be inspired to ask yourself, “What Next?” Are you ready to take back your existence so you don’t die like a punk?
